Pizza-Box Lid Support
Posted by Adam Kuban, April 9, 2005
This is the first time I've seen a pizza-box lid support with the word
pizza actually molded into the plastic product itself. The adornment seems superfluous, as I've never seen these gadgets used for any other purpose.
I suppose it's there so cooks at places like
Kennedy Fried Chicken—which often serves pizza and hamburgers in addition to the tasty bird—don't use it in burger boxes or chicken buckets.
It sits on a pie from Pino's La Forchetta on Seventh Avenue in Park Slope. A great pie? Not really. Just a good go-to place in the 'hood for late-night pizza. They're one of the few pizzerias in the Slope open till midnight.
