Renovations Finished

Posted by Adam Kuban, August 7, 2005

Regular readers of Slice will notice that our renovations are complete. There's not much to say about them except that they bring Slice more in line with its sister site, A Hamburger Today. In addition to a bunch of back-end organization of archives and an updated flag, we've added a Tags feature to our entries. You'll find them just below the headline on posts. It's just another way to browse and was inspired by a post I read on the blog Ishbadiddle.

Gone are any links to The Pizza Peel. We weren't really paying much attention to it, and activity there was few and far between. It's still available for those who found it useful—and we may bring it back in some form. But probably not.

Oh, and we brought back a long-ago short-lived design motif—the red-checkered tablecloth background. Hope it doesn't make you dizzy.

As always with any redesign, there may be bugs. I'd appreciate it if you'd e-mail me at adam [at] sliceny [dot] com with any you might find.
