Menu for Hope: Grilled-Pizza Party

20051222grilled.jpgJust an update on Chez Pim's Menu for Hope II campaign, which ends at 9 p.m. ET on December 24.

Quick backgrounder if you missed our post on this the other week: Five dollars buys you a virtual raffle ticket in a drawing for any number of cool and delicious food prizes. Foodbloggers from around the world are offering these prizes. The $5 you spend goes to help Kashmiri earthquake victims, via UNICEF. This isn't a scam, and the site being used to collect the donations is safe and secure. Simply choose from the "menu" of prizes, throw in your $5, and Bob's your uncle. Find out detailed info here: A Menu for Hope II.

Slice is offering two prizes.

First, for New York–based folk (or anyone willing to travel here): A grilled-pizza party for four (4) with the editors of Slice in late spring/early summer, when it gets nice out again. This seemed like a really good prize to offer, but almost nobody wants to eat pizza with us. There's only one entrant for this so far. Is it because you can't imagine grilling out with this cold weather upon us? Or does it seem too weird to come over to Slice HQ? If that's the case, we've upped the number to winner + 3. Maybe if you have some of your compadres with you it won't feel so awkward?

Second: A pizza-making kit. Pizza stone, pizza peel, Peter Reinhart's excellent pizza book (with recipes), American Pie.

ENTER RAFFLE HERE. When you get to the donation page, be sure to enter "Slice Pizza Party" or "Slice Pizza Kit" in the Comment/Note field. (Hurry! Raffle ends at 9 p.m. ET on December 24.)
