Some Updates: Pizza Party and Language Project

Sorry there's been very little in the way of new pizza posts here on Slice. The day job has been keeping me so busy I've had little energy to do anything other than watch Battlestar Galactica reruns when I get home at night.

Anyway, here's what's up with a couple Slice bits o' business that I have had some time for ...
THE GOTHAMIST-SLICE PIZZA PARTY
If you were among the initial group of people to reserve a ticket and haven't yet paid, well, sorry folks. I released those spots back into the pool of available tickets and have offered them to people on the waiting list. The early bird gets the worm, they say.

Good news for all the people on the wait list, however: Everyone who was put on standby has a place at the proverbial table. If I put you on the wait list, you should have gotten an e-mail this morning with the link to buy tickets. If you haven't, please get in touch with me: pizzaparty [at] sliceny [dot] com

For anyone else interested in going, we have 3 slots left. First come, first served. Get 'em while you can. (Use the pizzaparty address above.)

THE 'I LOVE PIZZA' POLYGLOT PROJECT
I've been collecting translations of "I love pizza" for a few days now. The response has been great. Thanks to all who have offered their linguistic services. So far, we have Afrikaans, Arabic, Cantonese/Mandarin, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Hebrew, Korean, Polish, Swedish, and Thai.

I'm going to be doing a couple things with these translations and will let you know when I do. It's nothing earth-shattering, so don't sit on the edge of your seats, but it'll be fun, I think. If you love pizza.
