Pizza Profits

If you're a serious pizza freak and often make pizza at home, like me, you've probably dreamed of opening your own pizzeria, as I have.

But then you see something like this on from New York magazine, from a series of profit calculations of various New York businesses

Nina's Argentinian Pizzeria
Annual Revenue: $186,000 ($18,000 is profit).

yeah and 60K is unreported income

exactly. I would have trouble thinking that a NY business would only do 186,000 gross revenue. That's absurd. Most "chains" would be looking at $2000/day or around $600,000 a year gross on average. In a city like NY a good business I would hope would be doing better than $1000/day, especially with the much higher rents...

well and take into account that nina's: a) sucks and doesn't have a significant following b) is about the size of my bathroom
