Twins Pizza House

Twins Pizza House, blogged to Slice from the Flickr photostream of Slice
Monday, June 18, was my seventh anniversary in New York City. When I first moved here, my friends Bryan and Laura were kind enough to let me crash at their place until I found my own apartment. At the time, I didn't know how difficult it could be to find an apartment in this town, and so I also didn't realize what a generous offer that was.

Lucky for them, I found a place the day after moving here and settled in by the end of June. But I needed inexpensive furniture for it. Bryan suggested looking in the antiques stores on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. They were walking distance from his place, he said.

I walked and walked and walked, a distance that then seemed long but now I wouldn't think twice about. On the way, I noticed Twins Pizza House on a side street off Atlantic Avenue.

The "BUY one Get One FREE" sign reminded me of Little Caesar's "Pizza! Pizza!" gimmick, and I resolved to try Twins.

I still haven't.

i think balgavy and i tried twins in the fall of 97 and were pretty disgusted by it.

I live around the corner- it's pretty grim pizza.

I've had it a few times and it's OK. Not bad, but not particularly good. I'd liken it to frozen pizza at best.
