San Francisco to Ban Pizza?
A proposal seeks to make the late-night streets safer by forcing a pizzeria to close at 2 a.m.: "Closing the parlors at 2 a.m. or earlier could curb violence and public drunkenness and reduce litter from pizza boxes and plates, Central Station police Capt. James Dudley told commissioners at the meeting." [via Eater S.F.]

San Francisco, poster-child to the rest of America for wheels-off living, is worried about PIZZA BOXES?!?! Nice!

they should just stop beating around the bush, and just impose a sundown curfew and daily liquor ration.

See: what did I tell you? First, they come and take away your foie gras, then they come and try to take away your pizza. Next, they'll be coming for our doughnuts!
