Dear Slice: Where Can We Throw Our Daughter a Make-Your-Own-Pizza Party?

Birthday Pizza Party, 1982? (by Adam "Slice"
Kuban)

Slice's editor (in striped shirt), at his own make-your-own-pizza birthday, circa 1982.

Dear Slice,
We are looking to throw our little girl a third birthday party at a decent pizza place in Brooklyn or lower Manhattan, where the kids can make their own pies and be involved in the whole process. South Brooklyn was our No. 1 hope, but it's expensive at 10 bucks a head for adults or kids. Was wondering if you knew of any alternatives?

Thanks,
Elliot

Dear Elliot,

As is often the case, I'm going to have to open this one up to the readers. Mostly because I'm childless and have not moved to this stage of my pizza life yet.

I think I'll head off anyone from suggesting Chuck E. Cheese, though. Elliot asks for a decent place. And I think we all know that CEC is anything but. And you can't do make-your-own at Chuck's place, AFAIK.

So, readers, any ideas?

Hasta la pizza,
Adam
