Motorino Introduces Prix-Fixe Lunch Menu

20081215-motorino.jpg

Margherita pie at Motorino.

Williamsburg pizzeria Mortorino is jumping on the prix-fixe meal bandwagon (it seems to be the recent trend with recession-fearing diners hungry for deals). Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., this two-course lunch menu for $10 features: soup (rotating every other day-ish; today's is brussels sprouts) or salad (the tri-color salad with radicchio, endive, and arugula). And, of course, pizza, with five options available: margherita, soppressata piccante, marinara, anchovy, and speck with brussels sprouts. [via kludt on Twitter]

UPDATE: This deal only applies to weekdays. On Saturday and Sunday, Motorino offers a brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. which includes one entree (egg pizza, baked egg, or a "panetti" sandwich) with a drink for $10.

on the weekend too??

Yes, please find out if this special applies for Sat and Sun as well...I live close but I don't work close by, which dictates my lunching schedule.

Brussels sprout soup? I must find out more.

@ Laurel E and DustinM: Just called up the Motorino folks. See update above!

Brussel Spouts are the new pomegranite. They are everywhere. Maybe I'll try that soup when I go there tonight. Last time I got the brussel sprout and speck pie and it was very good.

I wish we could modify our posts. Anyway, I thought I saw the brussel sprouts pie on here, but I can't find hit. This is the shot I was talking about:

wow. THANK YOU for bringing this to my attention. Motorino has the best brunch around.

Hey guys, I don't mean to rain on the parade, but I've been holding this in for a while...

My only Motorino experience went all wrong. Everyone there was perfectly nice and I liked the vibe in there, but something about the overly-rich soupiness of the pie, and the yeasty quality of the crust made me totally sick later that night... Also, for what its worth, I couldn't really taste anything particulalry creamy or flavor in their "Homeade Fior Di Late", or their sauce or anything. I wanted to like this place so much, but it didn't pull through for me. I know I'm in the minority, but.....

@JudgeFudge Perhaps you should make a return visit. I believe they are now cooking the pies longer. I was there just last night and even after 11pm they made me three very good, well done pies. Especially the Brussel Sprouts and Speck. And I'm looking forward to going back for what sounds like a very good brunch.

I went back twice now for that Motorino brunch and it tasted as good as it sounded. And it looked very good as well. Check it out:
