Our man in Chicago, Daniel Zemans, alerted me to a new coal-oven place to add to the Slice Coal Oven Map—Black Sheep Coal-Fired Pizza: 600 Washington Avenue N, Minneapolis MN 55401 (map); 612-342-2625

@s4xton: You probably did. A month or so ago, I was in full-on preload-site-for-the-holidays-so-I-can-actually-take-a-vacation mode. Sorry for missing this. Thanks for the link. Looks pretty darn good, too.

@LiveToEat: I travelled in -3F weather today to get a slice from Pino's in Woodbury, MN. We were almost the only people there and Pino complained about how cold it was and how it was keeping customers away from the slices. Cold weather means the pizza guy needs business!

@LiveToEat: I wore long johns to work today and it's only 23°F here in NYC. I'd have to wear two sets if it were -3°.

As a Minnesotan, I for one am happy for the return of the true Minnesota winter to the twin cities area. We have got off pretty easy the past few winters.
