Frying Pizza (and Other Things) in Duck Fat

Drew of Toothpaste for Dinner (and other weird things on the internet) got a tub of duck fat and didn't really know what to do with it, so he's experimenting with different foods and posting the results on his blog with a deliciousness rating on a scale of 1 to 10. Pizza seems best so far, with a 9/10 deliciousness rating.

It all seems a bit silly, but I dunno what to do with duck fat aside from the usual things ... so ... yeah ... now I know.

Other posts: eggs and hash browns (8/10) and using duck fat as butter (3/10).

One thing's clear: Vodka and duck fat do not mix. (Deliciousness: -3 /10)

I suppose there will be more posts until the duck fat runs out.

Never tried frying leftover pizza before. Sounds like it could be good fried with regular cooking oil too.

I heard about frying leftover pizza from Ted Allen. It makes a wonderful weekend morning breakfast. I use olive oil, but duck fat would be awesome.

As one who has never used the stuff, what ARE the usual things one would fry in duck fat? I immediately thought of gnocchi, but that's only because Kathy recently mentioned doing so.

@miso: I was also gonna say fries. Alas, I haven't had em. :( Also, duck cooked in its own fat. WIN!

I had leftover duck fat and used it instead of pork lard in southern biscuits. Yum!
