Astoria's Rizzo's Offering 50-Cent Anniversary Specials Starting Saturday

In celebration of its 50th anniversary Rizzo's in Astoria will be offering various 50¢ specials over the course of 50 days—starting this Saturday. The best of the bunch is on Saturday, May 30, when its signature square slices will cost only half a buck. The other specials: after the jump.

Saturday, April 11 to Friday, April 24

50¢ sides, salads, sodas: Includes garlic knots (4 pieces); small salads (simple, house, and Caesar); and cans of soda; delivery or take-out only; limit one person customer.

Saturday, April 25 to Friday, May 8

50¢ toppings: Includes all toppings; delivery or take-out only; limit one pizza per order.

Saturday, May 9 to Friday, May 29

50¢ homemade gelati, Italian ices, and cannoli: Includes daily selections (flavors vary: lemon sorbet, coconut, cherry, piña colada, Dutch chocolate, pomegranate, Mandarin orange, apricot-mango); in-store only; limit one per customer

Saturday, May 30

50¢ Sicilian square slices: Two slices per customer; in-store only

God, how I miss sicilian pizza. You'd think we'd be able to get it here in Europe, but...waaaah!

Rizzo's is Steinway between 30th Avenue and 31st Avenue. Never heard of City Avenue or Dunway Street. Just a heads up...
