Owner Living In Pizzeria May Be Kicked Out

Sad, sad story. When divorced father of two and pizzeria owner James Gotzamanis couldn't afford rent on his apartment (pizza sales are way down, he says), he moved in to the basement of his Nashua, New Hampshire, pizzeria. But now the fire marshal is trying to kick him out—the 17-foot square bedroom needs a window, officials say.

It CAN'T be a 17 square foot bedroom. That's 3 feet wide by 6 1/3 feet long!!

OR 4' x 4 1/3"

OR 2' x 8 1/2', I suppose.

Nice catch, Mooner, but I wrote "17-foot square bedroom." Not "17-square-foot." In other words 17-by-17 feet square—but since that's redundant, I've always reduced that phrase to "17-foot square."
