Slice Mentioned on 'Good Day LA'

Slice was apparently featured on Good Day LA this morning during the "Maria Surfs the Web" segment. Thanks to Maria Quiban for the shout out. Greetings to any new folks in Los Angeles who may have found us via KTTV Fox 11.

(And just so nobody gets bent out of shape here, the videos Ms. Quiban actually shows in her segment were videos Slice embedded via Food Network Humor and Stephanie Izard's Tasty Life.)

Update (7/14/2009): As has been pointed out below and on Food Network Humor, my tone above comes off as pretty damn flip—that's not what I intended. I would like to thank FNH, a site I read daily, for making the Frank Pepe's clip embeddable so I could feature it on Slice. Videos like that help make Slice a (hopefully) fun and informative place to visit.

Congrats Adam! Great mention in a major market, and not a bad looking deliverer of the message to check out Slice.

Keep leading the way! --PB

The person in that video was Jillian Madison of Food Network Humor. You publish their video and get a mention on TV? You should be mailing them a big thank you.

@neoknows: I acknowledged the source here in this post. And in the post in which I embedded the video in back in May. I'd argue that Slice earned its mention on Good Day LA thanks to my years (almost six now) of pizza-blogging and not just because of a couple videos that a TV producer in Los Angeles mistakenly assumed were Slice-produced. I'd like to think I'm very fair about giving credit where credit's due, and Food Network Humor received its hat tip.

God, you're a royal slice of shit. You STOLE this video and then gloat about your well deserved mention on TV. You're a real fucking prick and should be ashamed. Go to hell.

@Hateyou: I just apologized to Jillian over on FNH.

You're right. I do sound gloaty in my comment above. I'm sorry for that. I myself was a little bent out of shape that Good Day LA mentioned Slice in that segment but didn't bother to suss out that they had highlighted a nonoriginal embedded-video clip rather than something Slice-produced.

And Neo, you're correct. I should have just gracefully thanked FNH instead of gloating. I'm actually a big fan of Jillian's work on FNH—the site has the best insight into the FN than any blog I've seen. So I hope this doesn't damage her opinion of me or Slice too much.

Sorry!
