Photo of the Day: Life Imitates Art Imitates Life

Click me bigger »

Not much to say here. Just got back from a Slice–Serious Eats field trip to Di Fara. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but until earlier this afternoon four of the seven people in this office were Di Fara virgins. Unacceptable.

Anyway, they're not anymore—and I'll be gathering their thoughts and posting them here by end of day. Until then, amuse yourselves with this photo.

I haven't been to Di Fara since mid March, and since then it seems this nice piece of artwork has taken up pride of place on the side of Dom's oven. The print, titled "A Pizza Heaven" and numbered 1 of 1, is by artist Andy M. Sachs, who seems to have a food bent to his work. Click the photo above to enlarge and study it in detail.

That wasn't there on July 2nd, so it's newer than that.

Cool photo Adam. The artwork is cool too, but it does not have enough cheese on it :)

That's a great pic. How about some comments from the newly deflowered?

@bobbob: See above—"Anyway, they're not anymore—and I'll be gathering their thoughts and posting them here by end of day. Until then, amuse yourselves with this photo."

I've already gotten two of them to write me up some stuff. Just waiting on the stragglers.

sorry missed that.

NP! I miss things all the time, too. I can't speak for you, obvs, but I think the Twitter world is starting to affect how closely I myself read things. I'm almost afraid to even blog anything long anymore.

I was surprised when my daughter called me up to say she saw my painting on Seriouseats.com. I just put up a new site that shows some of my other paintings, some dealing with my passion for great food and how it makes me feel. The site has a pic of last week when I gave the print to Dom. The photo has the original painting shown with me and Dom.
