Opportunity Knocks, My Friends

PizzaMarketplace.com is looking for a full-time editor to "cover the pizza industry." (Full text of ad appears after the jump.) Surely someone reading Slice must fit this job description. [via Graham]

PizzaMarketplace.com seeks an editor who can deliver must-read content for the modern pizza executive. Our website is currently the leading source of online news and information for the pizza industry, and we're on the verge of a dramatic upgrade. We are looking for a multi-talented journalist who can revolutionize our content by 1) understanding the industry by building deep personal relationships, 2) weaving a killer net of blogs, social media tools, industry experts and original reporting, 3) being highly effective with video and other new media applications and 4) hitting homeruns with SEO.

Candidate should be able to represent the segment with evolving authority, as well as be a dynamic speaker and presenter and understand the exciting changes occurring in the restaurant space. Also, the editor should have strong execution skills. Extra points if the candidate is already covering pizza or another restaurant segment.

Send resumes to Joseph Grove, executive editor, at josephg@networldalliance.com. IMPORTANT: Use PIZZA EDITOR as subject line.

"weaving a killer net of blogs"

"hitting homeruns with SEO"

i hate job descriptions that try and make things sound exciting by adding ridiculous qualifiers and metaphors. at least they avoided the dreaded "rock star" label (e.g., "looking for an EXPERIENCED, ROCK STAR LINE COOK"). also—and as someone who isn't punctuating or capitalizing correctly, i understand i'm sitting in a glass house right now—shouldn't "homeruns" be two words?
