Totonno's Coney Owner Says It Will Reopen in Two Weeks (and Definitely by New Year)

There was a blurb in the New York Post this morning about the impending Coney Island Totonno's reopening. Said paper said said pizzeria would pump up the jams within two weeks and that readers should call the restaurant for the exact date.

Well, put down the phones and relax your dialing digits. You're not going to get a hard date from anyone there. I just got off the phone with Totonno's owner Lawrence Ciminieri, and he said it would be "ten days to two weeks. We're all ready to go, just waiting on the final red tape."

His advice is, in a couple weeks, if you're planning a trip, to just call ahead before you visit to check if it's back. "Put it this way," he said, "Come the new year, we'll be open."
