Reaching in to the Slice mailbag, we've got ...

Sac's Place in Astoria. Goin' there for lunch today with one friend. i can't download the menu b/c of some plug-in problem. Any recs?

Dear Chichi,
Probably avoid anything with too many toppings. Sac's is already a bit heavy on sauce and cheese and has some sogginess issues. Other than that, go for what you normally like on a pizza! Most people already have the knowledge of what to order contained within them!
See if you can split a whole pie cooked-to-order. Here's a photo of a Sac's Place pepperoni pie ...
Hasta la pizza,
Adam

Thanks, Adam! We'll go for a whole pie cooked to order, in the coal oven, I presume.

Chichi,
Yeah. I think they do all the pies in the coal oven. At least all the whole pies, but ask just to be sure.
I think they use the gas oven for reheats of slices from slice pies cooked in the coal oven. Weird system.
Happy chew year!
Adam
