Disney World Opening 300-seat Pizzeria in Epcot's Italy Pavilion

Posted by Adam Kuban, January 28, 2010

20100128-disney.jpgOh, boy. Another "it's the water" bit. This time coming not from a New Yorker or New York expat but from the folks at Disney World. The theme park megalomerate is opening a 300-seat pizzeria in Epcot Center's Italy Pavilion. It will feature wood-burning ovens.

The pizzeria will be the newest flagship restaurant in the Patina Restaurant Group's portfolio. And one of the special touches at the Epcot location will be the water. It'll be imported from a source where the composition most resembles water used in Naples, Italy, to make the authentic Italian dough.

Why not? Epcot has been importing foreigners for years to work in the various world pavilion thingies they have there. And this can't be any worse that bad burgers and hot dogs. [via Slice/SE reader Rio]
