This Thursday, eat good pizza for a good cause at Slice Out Hunger, which will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at GAP Adventures (one of the organizers) in Greenwich Village.
There will be $1 slices from Lombardi's, John's of Bleecker, Joe's, and NY Pizza Suprema, with all the money going directly to City Harvest, New York City's food rescue squad. While scarfing back the pizza, you can check out the Pizza Boxes of the World exhibit, a collection of boxes sent in from all over by Scott's Pizza Tours alumni (tour guide Scott Wiener is also one of the event organizers). There will be drinks and raffle prizes, including pizza books, SPT tickets, travel deals form GAP Adventures, and other pizza-related prizes. Slice Out Hunger on Thursday, May 27; 364 Avenue of the Americas (map).
