Hey, Slice'rs, we're having a meet-up on Sunday! It's a sort of a meet-IRL/Slice anniversary shindig. Here are the details.

When: Sunday, 10/24/2010. 3 p.m.
Where: d.b.a. bar, 41 First Avenue, New York NY 10003 (2nd/3rd streets; map)

What: Slice just passed the 7-year mark on October 13, and we figured we'd have a meet-up to mark the occasion — to throw back a few pints and meet the faces behind the screen names of fellow Slice'rs.

We've picked d.b.a. bar because it's got a roomy back space and because it's pizza-neutral territory.

"Pizza-neutral?!?" you may be asking. "Isn't pizza what Slice is all about?"

Yes. And here's the deal.... We thought it would be fun to have sort of a pizza roundtable, where Slice'rs bring pizza from their local favorite to share. Or, if you're way into making pizza at home (I know a ton of Slice'rs are), then bring a homemade pie or two to share. Slice will be ordering in some pizza from the d.b.a. vicinity to kick things off.

d.b.a. has an enormous selection of great beers to go with whatever pizza shows up. You should avail yourself to a couple on Sunday! See you there.
