Yesterday marked the opening of the newest edition to the Batali-Bastianich empire. Operating partners Nancy Seltzer and Andy Nusser opened their firstTarry Lodge outpost in Port Chester, in 2008. Just more than a year ago, our own Ed Levine and Carey Jones took a road trip with a stop over at Tarry Lodge and drove away with a favorable impression.

Stay tuned for a First Look at the slightly more casual and, most importantly, more pizza-focused operation. Connecticut Slice correspondent Amy Kundrat will have the report next week on just what kind of pies full-time pizzailoi Mario LaPosta is cranking out of the restaurant's Mugnaini oven.
