Here are some highlights:

  • The dough will be stretched by rolling pin into a rectangular shape, and free of cornmeal (their regular pies are stretched in corn meal). We're not quite sure how that screams "artisan."
  • The new pie will have three topping choices: spinach and feta, sausage and peppers, and salami and roasted veggies. Customers are not allowed to substitute or add to any pie, only to subtract. Looks like Domino's is taking some tips from the "obnoxious artist" service ethos that seems to be becoming more and more prevalent in restaurants these days.
  • The pizza-maker will personally sign each box. Dominos employees are well known for their love of doodling on pizza boxes, so this shouldn't be much of a stretch.
  • There will be less cheese.
