My Pie Monday: Edible Flowers, Sorghum Syrup, Favas, and Much More!
This My Pie Monday we have an impressive collection of pies from a good mix of regular and new contributors. Among the Varsity Slice'rs we have billgraney at the grill, atmast landing on a new favorite combo, Norma staying true to her experimenting ways, TXCraig1 keeping it real from The Garage, thearrogantchef with an Olive and Pesto pie, Bierebeer hitting us with not one but two pies, amusebouche1 with a vibrant flower topped pie, and the triumphant return of Olsonmatt (he's been off the radar for a good reason!). And please extend a warm welcome to John Conklin, SonnyC79 with his first Detroit-style pie, BGEPizza who's cooking his pies on a Big Green Egg (duh!), and ChristineB who sends her favorite of 4 pies, a creme fraiche and bacon topped number. Mmmm hmmm!
It's easy to get your pie included in next week's slideshow. Just take one picutre of a pie you made recently, describe your cooking method (in 80 words or less), and follow these instructions to get it to us by 8pm (EST) Thursday. Be sure to let us know your Slice screen name.
