"One of my favorite combinations is roasted yellow beets and fresh goat cheese. My plan was to make a salad but a friend from work inspired me. He made a goat cheese pizza with chive oil and fresh basil. Ok, goat cheese roasted beet pizza. But as luck would have it, my local Whole Foods had Candy Striped Beets, even better. They do not taste like beets and are extremely mild. I roasted the beets, brushed the dough with chive oil, and topped it with sliced beets, red onion and goat cheese. Baked and finished it with honey, prosciutto, basil and flowers. More on blog." amusebouche1

"This week, I drew my inspiration from a beautiful pie by John Dellavecchia. Where his was savory, I decided to go sweet. The pie was topped with fresh mozzarella and mascarpone (50:50) to make it extra creamy. After baking at 900F for about 55 seconds. I finished it with prosciutto and homemade fig and lemon preserves. The pie could have been made without the prosciutto as well which would also have been delicious." TXCraig1

"Inspired by Kenji's blog on the Motorino hangover helper, I finally overcame my mental block over eggs on pizza. This is my hack of the Pizza Al Uovo.  Extra virgin olive oil, Aleppo pepper, pancetta, fior di latte, basil and our own free range eggs. Great hot from the oven, surprisingly good reheated.  Not sure I will bake this often, but it was fun!" "I am affectionately calling this pizza "the victim." I let my husband choose the toppings, and it quickly turned into one of those fashion victim girls you see on the street wearing every current fashion trend in one outfit—girls I derisively call "victims" (but only in my judgmental little head). Here's the lineup of toppings, in order: slivered garlic, a dusting of parm, aleppo, crumbled bacon, pre-roasted cauliflower, chopped onions, and last, but certainly not least, dry whole-milk mozz. Whew!  I tried to apply sparingly to avoid structural collapse, but it was still a mouthful. Definitely tasty, but I think I'll be choosing toppings next week (when I hope to begin using my new steel plate!!)." atmast

"I had planned to use this Neapolitan dough ball with the Ischia starter to bake in Ev’s WFO on Sunday, but other things got in the way, so I cold fermented the dough ball until Tuesday. I had used TXCraig1 method of making his Neapolitan dough and had controlled temperature fermented it to try the bake in Ev’s WFO. Well, this dough ball ended up being baked in my deck oven in a cutter pan. I used a three cheese blend of cheddar, Amish butter cheese and Asiago cheese. My regular tomato sauce was used with a sprinkling of Greek Oregano before the bake. The pizza still turned out tasty in my opinion, even if it could not be baked in Ev’s WFO.
