That childhood icon of holiday mischief, Macaulay Culkin, has struck again—not with Rube Goldberg-esque hijinks, but with the demo recently released by his new band, The Pizza Underground.

The group consists of Culkin (percussion, kazoo, and vocals), Matt Colbourn (guitar), Phoebe Kreutz (glockenspiel), Deenah Vollmer (pizza box), and Austin Kilham (tambourine). The motley crew covers the songs of Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground, with a twist—each song is reworked to feature pizza, front and center.

According to Dangerous Minds, The Pizza Underground has only released one track so far (recorded live at Culkin's house in November), a medley of songs with titles like "Papa John Says," "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice," and "I'm Waiting for Delivery Man." Hear the full demo below or check out the groups' page on Bandcamp. This may not be the first musical ode to pizza, but it's certainly one of the most thorough we've seen in a while (we also love all of these...).
