In the ongoing battle between Jon Stewart and what seems like all of Chicago, the Daily Show aired the latest installment last night in a three-part series called "Strife of Pie."
'Lou Malnati's' on Serious Eats
Jon Stewart's epic anti-Chicago pizza rant on the Daily Show last week was the spark for an ensuing conflagration, a new excuse to reignite the age old Chicago vs. New York debate. This week, Marc Malnati, owner of famed Chicago institution Lou Malnati's Pizza, took a trip to New York and joined the fray.
In a city this passionate about pizza, the debates will always continue. In compiling our list, we had to consider history, style, the old school favorites, and the newcomers. So while this list may not settle any old debates, in fact, it may start will most certainly insight new ones, it is guaranteed to have pies that even the casserole camp will love.

A resident of the deep-dish capital, Evans wanted the pizzas delivered in time for July 4th to celebrate the American staple.
