Video: Pizza Delivery Prank

This Rémi Gaillard prank would have been cute if the guys who planned it had just stopped at the moment they opened the door for the pizza delivery dude. But what happens afterward and in the second part of the clip is pretty crappy. This video has been making the rounds the last few days. Apologies if you've seen it already....

Quote of the Day: The Tipping Point

"Four of 5 customers specifically mentioned the roads or the weather tonight. The one that did not, the husband said, 'CHILLY' as the wife held the door open a little too long. Two of 5 customers still didn't tip!" --Pizza Delivery Stories...

Underground Wood-Oven Pizza-Delivery Service in La Ventana, Mexico

"... we were forced to sell and deliver our pizza as if it were drugs or another illegal commodity." [Photograph: Skylash] @Skylash tweeted about this unusual pizza flier that he posted to Twitpic. His tweet says, "Pizza in La Ventana," which I'm guessing is La Ventana, Mexico. I've emailed the flier person to get the intrigue-filled story, which appears after the jump. I love how he is advertising what seems to be a homemade pizza-delivery service via a flier....

Japanese Gamers Can Now Order Food on Wii Demae (Catering) Channel

Why do the Japanese always get all the cool stuff? Awesome vending machines, monkey waiters, and now the Nintendo Wii Demae (Catering) Channel, which allows gamers to order pizza and other food with a flick of the wrist. According to the blog Destructoid, the channel works in tandem with an existing food-delivery service. You still have to pay cash money at the door—the Demae Channel doesn't take Nintendo Points. In Videos: Jamie Pugh, Pizza Delivery Driver, Wows Audience and Judges on 'Britain's Got Talent'

In another knock-your-socks-off moment on Britain's Got Talent, part-time pizza delivery driver Jamie Pugh conquered stage fright to floor the audience and judges with his rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. Prior to Saturday night's performance the story on Pugh was that he had a crippling case of stage fright. The 37-year-old from Blackwood, Wales, auditioned for last season's show but couldn't muster the courage to even sing for a producer. But Wales Online reports that that's not even the half of it. Pugh's triumphant performance (judge Simon Cowell even seems to almost well up a bit...

In Videos: 'Green' Pizza Box Breaks Down into Plates, Storage Container

Now this is a development in pizza gadgetry I can get behind. Seriously. Green-friendly packaging design firm ECO Inc. has come up with the Greenbox. The lid is perforated into four sections that can be used as plates. Tear off a couple triangular strips from the sides of the remaining bottom and fold along the score, and you've got a half-sized rectangular leftovers box. [Video of the box in action, and why it might not actually be recyclable, after the jump.]...

Looks like there might be a happy ending to the story of Ken Karpman, who went from managing his own hedge fund to pizza delivery driver: First ABC's 20/20 and Good Morning America contacted Ken to do reports. Now Dr. Phil and Oprah are calling. More important, dozens of people have emailed ABC Action News.com reporter Don Germaise - who broke the story - to offer Karpman a job. Karpman says his phone is ringing off the hook and companies from all over the country are writing to offer him positions. Some are not much better than pizza delivery driver,...

From Hedge Fund Manager to Pizza Delivery Driver

An interesting story from ABC News. Ken Karpman used to earn $750,000 a year as an institutional equities trader and then started his own hedge fund. After the economic crash, he's a pizza delivery driver. "This whole progression down, it's amazing how many things you say, 'I can't do' and a week later you say, 'Yeah, I could do that,'" he said. "I'm not going to make a career out of this but, until I get something that pays more, this is what I'll do to keep food on the table." It's a bit reminiscent of Michael Gates Gill, the...
