Tweetzeria: Ain't He a Font of Wisdom?

@nevenmrgan: "Think of toppings on a pizza or an omelet as fonts: Good luck to you if you use more than three at a time or you're tempted by 'wacky' ones." [via Kathryn]...

Some Twitter Crap

A couple things about Twitter as regards this website... First Thing: New Twitter Box As eagle-eye readers may have noticed, we added a small box to the right over there that displays the latest tweet from the @Slice Twitter account. The Slice Twitter account functions in a few different ways:...

Jimmy Fallon Twitters About Getting Kicked Out of NYC Pizzeria

"@jimmyfallon Oh, I'm afraid you've started the revolution, and they're hard to stop" Late Night It looks like Jimmy Fallon went to pizzeria Posto with his family last night and was asked to leave. The drama unfolded on Twitter. I've tried to piece together the saga by reading Fallon's tweets and the conversation between him and his Twitter followers. A few notes before you start reading: For those not versed in the twitspeak, the "@username" convention is how tweeters designate that they're talking to a specific Twitter user For experience tweeters, note that this reconstructed conversation runs chronologically (or as...

Cool: Motorino in Williamsburg is on Twitter (@motorino. Not cool: They're bitin' my phrase, "Hasta la pizza." Step off, n00bs. I've been using that phrase for years....

I'm not sure how well this will work, but it might be a fun exercise in crowd-sourced pizza info gathering and dissemination....

Thinking of Making Some Changes to Slice Twitter; Would Like Your Input

I know you're probably getting sick of me posting about Twitter the last couple of days, but bear with me. This one is warranted. —The Mgmt. Since I've been twittering as @slice, followers have seen the account go through a couple different phases. Phase One began as my own personal account, which made sense to me at the time—after all, there was little separation between the personal and the pizza in my world. For many of my friends, longtime readers, and Twitter followers, Slice and "Adam Kuban" were pretty much synonymous. But a few months ago, I realized that the...

Papa John's Now Twittering

Speaking of Twitter, it looks like Papa John's just started tweeting (@papajohns) making it the first of the major chains to make use of the microblogging service. The @pizzahut and @dominos usernames are either being Twitter-squatted or those outfits have not bothered to update....

Twitter User @pizza Doing a Lame Job of It

Whoever has the @pizza account on Twitter sure is doing a lame job of it. Only four tweets in almost two years. Not even following anyone. The account holder should relinquish it to someone (cough, cough, @slice) who would tweet it properly....
