Photographer and writer Michael Berman of Pizzacentric visits Maria's Pizza in Milwaukee and comes away with a great blog post and a video that sheds some light on the pizzamaking process there. (Not that it's a huge secret, since the kitchen is open to one and all who dine there.) Maria's is one of my all-time favorite pizzerias. Nice to see the Pizzacentric treatment of it.

We've been following this year's International Pizza Expo in great anticipation of the 2013 World Pizza Games. The competition features a range of obscure categories that are just completely out-of-control awesome. Sure, there's the usual dough tossing (feel free to chime in on our poll), but there are also performances in freestyle acrobatic dough tossing, fastest dough, largest dough stretch, fastest pizza box folding, and a real, live pizza triathlon.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how Little Baby's Ice Cream is making their savory pizza flavored ice cream at their Philly shop. It's a whirl of cream, garlic, basil and tomato pastes, and a dash of oregano, that by all accounts is delicious and actually pizza-like in flavor.
Watch this video featuring NYC Citysearch scout Josh Ozersky touring "New York's Finest Pizza" for the "Hungry In" series and making a case for the greatest pizza neighborhood on the face of the planet.
Stop whatever you are doing and watch these new commercials from Mellow Mushroom! They're so good that if you get caught watching them at work, you'll probably get a raise.

Check out this video montage Tscarborough posted over on Youtube of 100 pizzas (I didn't count them, but I take his word for it). That would be nearly two years worth of My Pie Mondays!
The above image represents the movements of a Domino's delivery guy in NYC as tracked by a gps system attached to his bike. The patterns of his movements make a remarkable image, but represent just the final piece in the larger network of the whole Domino's machine.
The team of engineers on the Discovery Channel's program Prototype This tackled the task of building a pizza delivery robot for the city streets of San Francisco. Watch the video here!
Pizza takes more abuse from the fellas at Epic Meal Time as it gets stacked, compacted, and wrapped into two pizza stuffed buns. It's sort of like their version of the shooter sandwich, except way more gross and over-the-top because in this case the shooter-esque buns bookend more pizza filling.
Seeing how the animated pizza gif like the one above came to life it pretty cool. The hybrid of zoetrope and pizza looks way more entertaining than computer animation. If you didn't catch this when it started making the rounds on the internet last week, check out the how-to video.
Caleb Schiff documented his transition from pizza enthusiast to owner and operator of Pizzicletta in the Slice series Building a Pizzeria. In the series, we got to follow along as Caleb transformed his dream into a reality, and in doing so, demonstrated the passion, dedication, and work that goes into such an endeavor. It's always great to get updates from Caleb, and this week we have a very well done short film by a local college student, with Caleb as its focus.
Cult independent filmmaker and director Abel Ferrara (The King of New York, the original Bad Lieutenant) is making a web series for Vice called Pizza Connection.
Who hasn't eaten their pizza this way? Ok, maybe with less preprandial crotch grabbing, but food almost always tastes better when you gyrate up to it. Am I right?!
