The pizza begins with a savory base of garlic, ginger, and puréed carrots, crowned with a flavor-packed array of unusual toppings: Anaheim chilies, coconut cream, sesame seeds, cashews, toasted coconut, and cilantro. Made without cheese or tomatoes, this carrot pie pushes the limit of most people's notion of pizza. But those willing to take a risk will reap a sweet and spicy reward.

If I hadn't known the squash was present, I would have pegged this as a white pizza with a bit of funky brie and aggressive onion. I'd suggest they add a little more squash and tone down the brie and onion a bit. The slice was well-seasoned and the crust-to-cheese-to-topping ratio was perfect for lovers of a thin crust pie. The crust lip brought crunch, chew, and a nice color, and the undercrust is pleasantly crisp and sturdy.
The crust makes this vaguely Indian pizza worth seeking out. It's quite likely the tastiest frozen pizza crust we've tried. It's a bit thicker than any naan I've seen, with a crisp skin and totally tender interior—this crust has life to it! It had none of the off flavors or density we've come to expect from frozen pizza. We're looking forward to trying another Original Naan Pizza. Have you seen them in any stores near you?
