Italy stole pizza from Korea! ...at least according to this brilliant satire funded by the Korean pizza outlet Mr. Pizza. In terms of clever ads, It definitely blows Domino's attempt out of the water.

Video: Bear Pizza Feast

Slice contributor David Kover sent over some BC pizza news earlier this week from the Toronto Sun. Apparently some pizza parlor employees freaked when they saw a bear in the garbage outside (who wouldn't?) and hid, leaving the door to the restaurant open (bad move). Naturally, seeing a golden opportunity, the bear helped himself to a couple of pies, reportedly preferring the beef and blue cheese. Beef and blue cheese doesn't sound good to me. Maybe we should see where Hambone stands on this.

Video: The Craziest, Most-Automated Pizza-Vending Machine We Have Ever Seen

We've seen a lot of pizza vending machines over the years here at Slice, but this one might take the cake for the fanciest, most-automated one yet. Dubbed Pizzametry, it's a spinning, pepperoni-slicing, pizza-boxing monster of a machine. Plus, it features a giant 37-inch screen that ... well ... serves you ads before it serves you pizza. (That's kinda lame.)

Pizzas cook in 3.5 minutes, and in this video it looks like it's capable of making pepperoni, plain, and white pizzas. [via Philip Given]

Moon Pie: Domino's Pizza Japan

Slice was video-less this Saturday, and really, the choice of video should have been obvious! Domino's had just launched their "Moon Branch Project", the Domino's Japan way of celebrating their 25th anniversary. The website is complete with a video announcement from Domino's Japan CEO Scott Oelkers and it has all kinds of mock ups by engineers and cost projections. For a promotional site, it's pretty over the top. Check out the video that you should have seen on Saturday.

Do Not Watch This If You Hold Willie and Waylon in High Regard

I think I kinda vaguely remember this commercial for Pizza Hut's stuffed-crust pizza. I mean, it sort of rings a bell. But as a Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings fan* I think I also blocked it out as being too traumatic. If you are a fan of Willie and/or Waylon, do not watch this.

* "Luckenbach, Texas" is probably in my top 8 songs of all time.
