Two Idiot Domino's Employees Do Nasty Things to Food, Upload Videos, Get Fired

See the videos, at Consumerist. Wow. I love how quickly this went down. Last night, at 7:26 p.m., Consumerist posted videos that some dumbass Domino's employees had taken showing one of them doing disgusting things with food that was presumably sent out to customers—putting banana peppers up his nose and then on a sandwich, sneezing on cheesy bread. Consumerist readers, using the YouTube account handle and the few identifiable details they could see in the videos, tracked down the Domino's location this occurred in and alerted Domino's corporate. By 10:26 a.m. this morning came word from Domino's HQ that...

In Videos: 'Saturday Night Live' Jeno's Pizza Rolls Commercial Sketch

Saturday Night Live finally made the video available for "I Am Your Mother," the Jeno's Pizza Rolls commercial skit that aired on the April 11 episode. It stars Zac Efron, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, and Fred Armisen, and its premise is that they're all shooting a commercial for the pizza snack. Like a lot of SNL sketches, it goes on a bit too long, but Armisen is amusing as a mom cooking up an after-school snack for her kids who just can't follow the director's coaching. Funny enough, this isn't the first time that the idea of a Jeno's...

In Videos: The Pizza Man in the Visa 'Mambo Italiano' Commercial

In a Q&A in the New York Times today, the paper's advertising columnist answers reader questions. One question: Who is that wonderful pizza man in the Visa commercial? I love the commercial every time I see it.I have to admit that I’m not sure I would want to eat a pizza that has run over his back and down his arm. But oh, I sure like to watch that sexy guy. The short answer: Juan Hermosillo, who works for Pizza Pizza in Ontario. Now you know where he works; maybe you can watch him in person....

In Videos: 'Pure and Simple,' a Day in the Life of Una Pizza Napoletana

Looks like Pure and Simple, that short documentary on Una Pizza Napoletana that we blogged about last summer when it appeared in the NYC Food Film Festival, is finally available in its entirety online, thanks to New York magazine's Vulture Picture Palace. It follows obsessive pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri through one day in the life of his renown Naples-style pizzeria. At nine minutes, it's a bit longer than most web video we bring you, but it's the weekend. It ain't gonna kill you to watch. And, who knows, you might learn something....

Leftovers: The Day's Stray Links

Video from that story we mentioned yesterday about the web-savvy pizzeria owner. D'oh! Domino's accidentally gives away 11,000 free pizzas online as part of a botched promotion. [Chicago Tribune] 'Now You're Eating': How citizens of Twitteronia are reacting to Pizza Hut's new slogan. [I Dream Of Pizza] What Kind of Question Is That? Edward Schneider asks, "Is matzo better than pizza?" on a guest post on Mark Bittman's blog. WTF? Bittman, please kick this guy off your blog. [Bitten]...

In Videos: Heidi Klum Goes Undercover in Pizza Prank

Project Runway's Heidi Klum went undercover as a pizza clerk as part of a CBS show that airs tonight called I Get That a Lot. The show puts celebrities in everyday, ordinary jobs and films how they react to customers who recognize them—or don't. As Klum tells Entertainment Tonight: "I got to be the pizza girl. I got to be someone I am normally not. I was quite rude to people. I would bite their pizza and give it to them. I would drop the dough on the floor, pick it up and use it." [Video, after the jump....

Leftovers: The Day's Stray Links

Marginally pizza-related (and possibly marginally funny) parody phone-sex commercial from 30 Rock. What is that, fresh mozzarella and pepperoni on that thing? I wonder where they ordered it from. [via Eat Me Daily] NYC - Anselmo's: "Best pizza I've ever eaten," says one poster. I wouldn't go that far, but it's definitely promising. [Chowhound] NYC - Frozen Pizza from Kesté: Apparently, recently opened Kesté is located in Any Town, Alaska, at least according to this receipt. [Eater] Don't It Sound Rustic and Charming? "In our postage stamp backyard, we have a shed. In the shed there is a wood-burning...

Marine Park, Brooklyn: Pizzeria Del Corso

"I mean, sure, Colt Seavers could drive the hell out of that truck, but do you think he was actually the one fixing busted axles?" Two Fridays ago. Ed here is like, "Adam, have you heard of this place Pizzeria Del Corso? I saw it mentioned in a story in the Daily News last week about pizza-tossing. The pizza-tossing didn't catch my eye, but the pizzeria did." I guess I had seen that story but had only focused on the Dom DeMarco angle. (Yeah, you know me, right?) And who can blame me? The rest of it was about pizza-tossing....

In Videos: Rain's South Korean Pizza Hut Commercial

Most Americans not familiar with South Korean pop culture probably know Rain—if at all—from The Colbert Report, where host Stephen Colbert has had a longstanding fake feud with the ultra-popular pop singer, dancer, model, and actor. (Rain topped Colbert in a 2007 Time magazine online reader poll of "100 Most Influential People.") Well, here's one more thing Rain has on Colbert—a Pizza Hut commercial. [The video, after the jump.]...
