Pizza-Based Reality Show?
Name a profession and it seems like there's a reality show for it, however improbable the premise may be. Cake-makers, hairstylists, pet-groomers, self-described "guidos" and "guidettes."*
It leaves a pizza nerd wondering, Where's the pizza-based reality show?
Well, someone's now throwing a net out there, looking for a pizzeria "with a family feel ... run by a humorous and expressive group of characters."
We just received an email from a casting agency describing the proposed show and what they're looking for. You can read it after the jump. And maybe some pizzeria-owning Slice'r out there fits the bill.
NYC-based talent and casting agency Vinnie Potestivo Entertainment is seeking family-owned and -operated pizzerias/Italian restaurants to be featured in a new docu-series in the vein of TLC's Cake Boss. This series will give America an inside look at the daily events that take place in a classic NYC-area pizzeria. Participants should have dynamic personalities as well as a strong sense of family and fun. Pizzerias/restaurants should have a family feel and be run by a humorous and expressive group of characters.

Just don't make pizzamakers look like a bunch of clowns, OK?
* OK, the last one there is not really a profession — then again, members of Jersey Shore have managed to turn their primping and body-building into careers.
