LA Weekly's Christie Bishop reports that Olio Pizzeria & Cafe opened last week on West 3rd Street in Los Angeles. Owner Bradford Kent bought his wood-burning oven on Craigslist. He's serving a Margherita topped with local burrata cheese; a potato, mushroom, and radicchio pie; and a popular Swiss chard pizza featuring his homemade chicken-fennel sausage and roasted tomatoes.
But that's not all: Olio Pizzeria also offers breakfast goods (including breakfast calzones) starting at 7 a.m. Wood-fired bialys, anyone?
