Welcome back to My Pie Monday, gang! We've got the meat and potatoes of pies this week. In the most literal sense, there's the Chicago-style bacon cheeseburger pizza from SlideSF and Ev's Sicilian pizza with scalloped potatoes, Vidalias, and cheddar. Mattsteig breaks out the big guns with a homemade mortadella (yum!) and scallion pie inspired by Chicago pizzeria Great Lakes. In the less literal sense, Jamesws harnesses pizza's essential elements with his tomato, herb, and Parmesan "flat bread". And Norma427, well, this pizza pioneer truly has no limits. She's going straight to the farm, gathering her own grain, and separating the wheat from the chaff! Get in there and check out this week's gallery. You might just find inspiration to make your own pie. And if you do....
Just take one snapshot, describe your cooking method (in 80 words or less), and follow these instructions to get it to Slice HQ by 8pm EST on Thursday night. Be sure to let us know your Slice/Serious Eats screen name.
